Privacy Policy

Effective date: · Last updated:

PixFut is a free futsal game for iPhone made by Ahmet Özdinç. This policy explains what information the app and the pixfut.ozdinc.net website handle. The short answer: almost none.

IN SHORT

  • No accounts or sign-up; we never ask for your name, email or phone number.
  • We don’t collect, sell or share personal data.
  • No ads and no in-app purchases.
  • No analytics, tracking or advertising SDKs; we don’t follow you across other apps or websites.
  • Your progress and settings stay on your own phone.
  • In online mode only game data goes to our server (your team, the room code and your moves); matches live in the server’s memory and are deleted when the room closes.

01Scope and data controller

This policy covers the PixFut iPhone app, the pixfut.ozdinc.net website and the game server that runs online matches.

For the purposes of data protection law (including the EU/UK GDPR and Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, “KVKK”), the data controller is Ahmet Özdinç. Contact: ahmet@ozdinc.net

02What stays on your phone

So you can pick up where you left off, the game stores the following only on your phone, in the app’s own storage:

  • Tournament progress: the teams you have unlocked, your next opponent and how many times you have won the cup.
  • Your choices: the team you last played with, your Quick Match settings (team, opponent, difficulty) and the team you picked for online play.
  • Settings: whether sound is on or off, and whether you have seen the “How to play” and tip screens.

None of this identifies you and none of it is ever sent to us. Deleting the app deletes all of it from your phone. If you back up your iPhone (for example with iCloud Backup), Apple may include this data in the backup; we have no access to those backups.

03Online mode

Tournament and Quick Match never connect to the internet. The app goes online only when you create or join a room from the ONLİNE menu, and then it connects over an encrypted connection (TLS) to our game server at pixfut.ozdinc.net and nowhere else. While you play, it sends:

  • the team you picked and the 4-digit room code;
  • your game inputs: joystick direction and how many times you pressed and released the buttons (PAS, ŞUT, GÜÇ);
  • timing information (ping) to measure lag, and the game’s protocol version;
  • a random, temporary session key issued by the server so you can rejoin the same match if your connection drops.

Your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers and advertising identifier are never sent. There is no chat: your opponent only sees the team you picked and your moves on the pitch.

The server runs the match in its memory (RAM) and sends the live state of the match to both phones. Rooms, session keys and match data are never written to a database or to disk. They are deleted from memory when the room closes (a few minutes after a match ends without a rematch, or at the latest 10 minutes after a room is created if nobody joins), and whenever the server restarts. No leaderboards, rankings or match histories are kept.

04IP addresses and technical logs

Because that is how the internet works, the server sees your phone’s IP address when you connect to an online match. The server keeps it in memory only while your connection and room are open, and uses it only to deliver data to your phone and to limit abuse (for example, capping how many connections and rooms one address can open). We never use your IP address to identify you, to build a profile or for advertising.

The game server and the web server in front of it may keep short-lived technical logs to keep the service secure and to find faults: date and time, the address requested, connection and error details. These logs may include IP addresses. They are kept for no longer than 7 days and then deleted automatically; they are used only for security and troubleshooting and are not shared with anyone unless the law requires it.

Legal basis: performing the online match you asked for (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (Art. 6(1)(f)); under KVKK, Art. 5(2)(c) and 5(2)(f).

05If you email us

If you write to us for support, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply and to solve your problem; we don’t use them for anything else, we don’t share them, and we delete them once there is no longer a reason to keep them after your issue is closed.

06What we don’t collect

  • Accounts, usernames, names, email addresses (unless you write to us), phone numbers or dates of birth.
  • Location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone — the app asks for none of these permissions.
  • Your advertising identifier (IDFA) or any tracking across apps and websites, so the app never asks for tracking permission.
  • Analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or social media SDKs; the app contains no third-party service that collects data.
  • Payment details: PixFut is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.

We do not sell, rent, advertise with or share any data with third parties.

07Apple and the App Store

Downloading and updating the app from the App Store happens through Apple’s services and is covered by Apple’s privacy policy. Apple only gives developers aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as download counts). If you have turned on “Share With App Developers” in your iPhone settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us; we use them only to fix bugs.

08The website

The pixfut.ozdinc.net pages use no cookies, contain no analytics or advertising tools and load no fonts, scripts or images from other websites. The web server may only keep the short-lived technical logs described in section 4. If you play the browser version of the game on the site, your progress and settings are kept only in your browser’s own storage (localStorage), just like in the app, and are never sent to us.

09Children’s privacy

PixFut does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13 (or under the minimum age set by the law of your country). There are no accounts, usernames, profile photos, chat or messaging between players. In an online match the opponent only sees the chosen team and the moves on the pitch, and joining a room requires knowing its code.

If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email ahmet@ozdinc.net and we will delete it right away.

10Security

Online connections are encrypted (TLS). Because the server stores no personal data, there is no user database that could leak. Only the person who runs the server can access the technical logs.

11Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, KVKK or US state privacy laws such as the CCPA), you have rights to know whether we process data about you, and to access, correct or delete it, or to object. Because we keep no data that identifies you, in most cases there is simply no record for us to show or delete: you can delete the data on your phone yourself by deleting the app, and technical logs delete themselves within 7 days. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.

You are always welcome to email questions or requests to ahmet@ozdinc.net; we will answer within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in Turkey, the Personal Data Protection Board).

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with a new date. If a change is significant (for example, processing a new type of data), we will also mention it in the app’s update notes.
